A Tale of Sunshine Saturday

Hello my fellow readers and dog friends! BOL It's Trevor here, wanting to share something that I hope will bring sunshine to your day. The weather is gorgeous here in North Dakota with a little wind and a temperature of 84°...

Today, was another of what Brenda calls Sunshine Saturday. It's a day of focusing only on the positive and hope! There have been some pretty great ones so far. Talking about birds and watching a guitar lesson in progress. That has all been during her "ME DAYS" at the mall.

She had a very nice visit with her taxi driver on the way. She was sharing with Brenda about being excited to go back to her home state, to visit family that she hasn't seen for over 20 years. Brenda could relate, because some of her family is not in close proximity.

She got to the mall and stopped for her iced coffee; a Mint Condition with Dark Chocolate. Brenda was walking and noticed that her Golden Retriever handbag was buzzing. BOL She reached in and realized that she missed a call. The message was the best of the day, wishing her a Happy Sunshine Saturday. That made her day!

Brenda has always loved the colors of yellow and orange, so this whole concept was an easy one to go with. She even had jewelry designed for this occasion. We will be sharing photos at the end of this blog post.

On to her day. Next she got her hair trimmed, as Brenda was starting to look like an Sheepdog. BOL

It's a style that she had gotten used to and apparently is a hit, so why not continue. She has been using biotin, which is a natural supplement, recommended by her dermatologist, causing her hair to grow and even becoming a little more thicker. Her arthritis meds and craniotomy, made her hair more baby fine and thin. She is glad that it is working and being able to experiment with new hairdos has been fun for Brenda.

JC Penney was having a sale. When are they not? BOL Anyway, the salesperson was kind enough to honor the discount, even if it did not show up on the register. It was quite a savings, with that being more than what the items cost. The salesperson told Brenda, that her handbag was going to the dogs. BOL BOL

Brenda then went to lunch after. There is another interesting story about that, but I will share later. She did a little more shopping and decided that she wanted another coffee and it was then that she reached into her pocket and found money. She had forgotten to pay for her lunch. Brenda walked back and the line was long, but she felt bad and wanted to make it right. When she mentioned it to the person getting the meals prepared, someone in front, said to go ahead. She went to the person at the cash register and explained the situation. She had been there before and asked for a cup for her medium drink, not even realizing that she forgot to pay. Anyway they thanked her and Brenda felt so much better. It was an honest mistake. If I forgot to pay for my bones, I would want to make it right. Doggone it! BOL

Brenda decided against going for a coffee, as she had walked a lot to get to that place, to make things right. She headed back go where she would wait for her taxi, after she called. She ended up having another great conversation on the way home with the taxi driver.

Brenda tries to have a Sunshine Saturday at least once a month. She doesn't always go to the mall, but she makes a point of finding as much positivity in that day as possible. Her great find for the day; 2 journals, blue and grey covers. The blue one had the words; BE BOLD, BE CHARMING, BE SHARP, BE GENEROUS, BE SILLY and BE AMAZING. The grey had the words; LIVE EVERY MOMENT...

Here are the photos as promised and Brenda being silly, but I still love her! BOL ~Trevor~

  1. A very entertaining blog and the picture of you is really attractive. My baby sister has quite a talent in writing. I especially enjoy our weekly phone calls together. Pray you all. Have a great week with a lot of sunshine. I too like to be around people that are positive and look at the glass as half full instead of half empty. Love and prayers, Iris.
